TYT Tun Seri Setia Dr. Haji Mohd Ali bin Mohd Rustam, Who in-Pertua Negeri Melaka completed the Closing Ceremony and Lunch ”China-Asean People-To-People Exchange Year Closing Ceremony 2025.

Over the past two years, China and the ASEAN countries have jointly organized more than 160 high-level, effective and widely popular exchange activities. These initiatives have strengthened cultural ties and understanding between over two billion people, generating widespread social and economic benefits.
At the 26th China-ASEAN Summit held in October 2023 Chinese President Xi Jinping proposed to designate 2024 as the “Year of ASEAN-China People-to-People Exchange.” “The initiative aims to strengthen mutual exchange and learning between China and ASEAN countries across various fields through a series of activities, improving people-to-people interconnection and strengthening the social and public foundations of bilateral relations.”
May this event succeed in promoting further cooperation and interaction between the two parties in culture, education, tourism, media, think bodies and other sectors as well as strengthening the understanding and friendship between the people of China and the ASEAN countries especially Malaysia.
